You Look Like a Mom!

I have yet to transition completely to the women's section of department stores. I still do most of my shopping in the Junior's section. Becuase of this, there have been several times that I've worn something to class and one of my students informs me that either they have that same dress or something like it! Note to self- can't wear this outfit to this school again. 

One day, I was walking with a small group of seniors to the practice room when I hear one of them say "I put this outfit on this morning and looked in the mirror and thought 'this is totally something Miss Charlynn would wear!' Wouldn't you wear something like this Miss Charlynn?" ... "I guess so" (it was a pair of combat boots, jeans and a t-shirt).

So lately I've been trying to be a little more cautious of what I'm wearing to teach. Especially at the high school.

A few weeks ago, I walk into school and my choreographer (student) says "Miss Charlynn, you look very mom like today!" ... in response to the face I must've been making she continued "No, that's a good thing! You're always worried about looking too much like a high schooler. This is a step up!" ..."oh. good! ok" I was wearing black skinnies and one of my Irma's (Which is an outfit I've worn before). Must've been the pearl necklace that did the trick!

still not sure how I feel about all this!
